We are having quite a time building our first house together. What a nightmare -- but a nice one. It's sort of like moving. again. but only over 7 months. at the end of which we get to move.
But it will be a beautiful home. I remind myself of that, as I wish it were smaller. But what does small or large matter? What is important is the open hands before God. Will I be open and giving with my home? I want it to be a place missionaries, friends and family can sack out. I want it to be a place of refuge with nooks to hide in. I want it to be a place the kids can have friends over and be safe.
It needs to have longevity -- for young family, teens, grandparents.
Only this can be accomplished with God.
